Montana Pillow Map

$250.00$290.00

The Montana pillow is part of our vintage American Wild West map collection printed on leather. The Montana territory was discovered by the Lewis & Clark expedition in 1806 on their historic trek to discover a route to the Pacific Ocean. The discovery of gold brought rapid population growth and inevitable friction with the several Indian tribes native to the territory. In 1876 the Battle of Little Big Horn, also known as Custer’s Last Stand, was fought in what later became eastern Montana, when Cheyenne and Lakota Sioux warriors led by Chief Crazy Horse, annihilated General George Custer’s cavalry battalion. The pillow is made with Aged cowhide front and luggage colored fringe. Antiqued studs and lacing frame the image. Back is faux.
